ABOUT
Bryce Janssens is a Canadian composer, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist and producer based in Los Angeles. His work draws on more than two decades of songwriting, recording and touring, alongside a background in sound design and music production.
His solo project, Estræl Bøisø and the Palace of Hoi Polloi, became a bridge into composing for picture, bringing together acoustic instruments, electronics and an interest in music that can shape a scene without overwhelming it. He has since composed the original score for the award-winning short film Meeting Your Maker and contributed additional music to the second season of Apple TV+’s Dark Matter, working with composer Mac Quayle.
Bryce continues to make records and perform while developing scores for film and television. His work moves between intimate, instrument-led pieces and more textural electronic music, with a focus on character, atmosphere and the emotional shape of a story.
